Track What Matters, Ignore the Rest

Lifters drown in metrics: HRV, sleep scores, body-fat guesses, weekly volume charts. Most of it doesn't change tomorrow's session.

Track these first:

  1. Main lift loads and reps — the story of progressive overload.
  2. Bodyweight trend — weekly average, not daily panic.
  3. How hard sets felt — a simple RPE or "easy / hard" note.

If those three are moving the right way for your goal, you're fine. Add complexity only when a plateau needs diagnosis — not because an app offered another dashboard.
