Recovery

Sleep Is a Training Variable

Strength athletes love talking about sets and macros. Sleep gets treated like a soft skill. It isn't.

Chronic short sleep lowers training quality, slows recovery between sessions, and makes hunger harder to manage. You don't need perfect nights — you need a repeatable baseline.

Aim for 7–9 hours most nights. Keep wake time consistent. Dim screens late. If a heavy session lands after two rough nights, cut volume before you cut intensity — protect the quality of the reps you still do.

Programs assume recovery. Sleep is how you deliver it.
